House of Representatives Sets Agenda for Upcoming Session

Kathmandu: The Business Advisory Committee of Nepal’s House of Representatives (HoR) has finalized the agenda for its upcoming meeting scheduled for Friday, January 31. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Speaker Devraj Ghimire.

The committee has decided to present several key ordinances on the first day of the winter session. These include the Ordinance Amending Some Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, the Ordinance Amending Some Nepal Acts Related to Promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, the Economic Procedures and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, the Privatization (First Amendment) Ordinance, the Ordinance Amending Some Nepal Acts Related to Improving Economic and Business Environment and Investment Promotion, and the Ordinance Amending Some Nepal Acts Related to Land.

The upcoming session is expected to focus on legislative measures aimed at governance reforms, economic growth, and improving the business environment. Lawmakers will deliberate on these ordinances, which are crucial for streamlining public service delivery, enhancing financial responsibility, and promoting investment in the country.
